Obituary of Lucy Ann Williamson

Lucy Ann Williamson Vernon Center-Lucy Ann Williamson, age, 27, of Vernon Center passed away unexpectedly Sunday, June 5, 2016. She was born on December 24, 1988 in Utica, New York a daughter of Joseph J and Kareen (Deal) Williamson. After graduation from V.V.S. Central School Lucy took art classes at Pratt Institute and Mohawk Valley Community College and was a talented artist. Lucy loved animals and during her youth was a member of the 4-H where she participated in the equine and rabbit programs. She was also a member of the North Country Rabbit and Cavy Club and the Mohawk Valley Rabbit and Cavy Club, raising and showing her beautiful American Fuzzy Lop and Mini-Lop rabbits. She was employed at La Quinta Hotel Suites in Verona, NY. Surviving are her parents Joseph and Kareen Williamson, step mother Bonnie Williamson, sister Katy Williamson, half brothers, Joe and Brian Williamson, and numerous, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, and very special friend Wes Jennings. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 23 Front Street, Vernon, from 2pm to 4pm. Lucy's funeral service will be held on Friday at 10:00 at Parkside Methodist Church, Youngs Road, Vernon Center, NY, with Rev. Melissa McCarthy and Rev. Joelle Faulks officiating. Burial will follow in Skinner Cemetery, Vernon Center, NY. If desired, donations may be made in Lucy's name to the North Country Rabbit and Cavy Club, or Mohawk Valley Rabbit and Cavy Club.
