Obituary of Marion R. Miller

Marion R. Miller Sherrill-Marion R. Miller, age 92, of Sherrill passed away peacefully Monday morning September 19, 2016 in the Oneida Healthcare Center with her loving family at her side. She was born on November 11, 1923 in State Bridge, New York a daughter of the late Edward N. and Marguerite H. (Hyland) Reese and was a graduate of V.V.S. Central School. Marion and John Miller were married in St. Francis Church, Durhamville on February 23, 1946. Marion worked for Oneida Limited as a cashier and after retirement she worked for the City of Sherrill Civil Service Office. She was a member of St. Helena's Church of Sherrill, a former board member of the Oneida Limited Access Federal Credit Union, the American Legion Post 230 Auxiliary of Sherrill where she served as a Past President and worked voting registrations for the City of Sherrill for many years. In her spare time she enjoyed traveling, entertaining, spending time with her family and friends, shopping and was a good neighbor whose door was always open. Surviving are her three daughters and two sons-in-law, Linda (Art) Winterton, Pamela (James) Kines and Lori Leonard all of Sherrill, eight grandchildren, Jeffrey Garner and fiancé Michael Cross, Jennifer (Tony) Trilo, Keri (Sean) Barton, Carly (Adam) Falkenmyer, Bradley Miller, Courtney Kines, Jessica (Jeremy) VanDam and Brandon (Mandy) Wells, and ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Marion was predeceased by her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Tim Garner, great- granddaughter Megan Gleason and sister Kathleen French and her husband Robert. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, September 23, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 464 Sherrill Rd., Sherrill, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Helena's Church, Primo Ave., Sherill, NY. Burial will follow in St. Helena's Cemetery, Oneida, New York.
