Richard J. Murray Munnsville-Richard J. Murray, age 86, formerly of Brown Road and more recently of the Oneida Healthcare Extended Care Facility passed away early Wednesday morning December 7, 2016 at the facility. He was born on May 1, 1930 in Cincinnatus, New York a son of the late J.D. and Frances (Kenyon)Murray. Richard attended local schools. After high school Richard enlisted with the United States Navy where he proudly served his country. In June of 1964 Richard and Jean Pitman were united in marriage and shared that loving union until Jean's death on April 23, 2011. Richard's hobbies included pulling horses, racing grey hound dogs and hunting. Prior to his retirement Richard was employed with Ney Ford of Oneida and more recently with Den Kelly Chevrolet of Hamilton. Surviving are two daughters and two son-in-laws Kelly and Andy Kiehn of Munnsville, Shelley and Kevin Razy of Lee Center, one son and daughter-in-law Danny and Kelly Murray of Westernville, his grandchildren, Jay Kiehn, Kari (Josh) Amodio, Jessica and Sawyer Razy, Zachary, Kimberly, Tyler and Nicholas Murray, other children include, Richard "Snooky" and Carla Murray, Debbie and Mike Baker and Trudy and Gary Swan all of Auburn. In keeping with Richards wishes there will be private viewing followed by a graveside service at 12p.m. on Friday, December 9th at the Stockbridge Cemetery, Stockbridge, NY. Following the services there will be a gathering at the Munnsville Legion at 1p.m. Arrangements are with the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., Vernon.
