Grandpa Baker was one of the best men that I had ever known. For 19 years, he taught me all sorts of things with my dad, and we shared a lot of good memories. While it hurts to know you're gone Grandpa, just know that I always will love you and hold you close.

Pete was a GREAT Father-in-Law and will be missed terribly.... He was a huge part in building my Families home over 15 years ago and a constant advisor on how we should fix the little things that all homes need as time goes on. Pete always had his own little phrases and I believe he is using a couple in Heaven :) He was always an ear to talk to, a great listener. I am extremely happy he is with the Lord and comfortable once again, holding Bert in his arms. I couldn't have asked for a better Family to join in marriage. I loved him so very much. Mr. Baker was and always will be a big part of my life. He was part of my life since I was a little boy. My father would take me to the locks while Mr. Baker was working. Mr. Baker would take Andy and I skiing when we were in high school at VVS. As life went on, I would visit when my family and I would visit upstate NY on vacation. My wife would just leave me at the house because we would talk for hours. But I never wanted to miss the visit to the Baker's. I didn't realize it until I got to be older but Mr. Baker was a big role model in my life. In many ways, he was like another father, along with my neighbor, Mr. Jones. He was always loyal to Mrs. Baker, God, and the church. I remember all the way back to when he was building the house and the Baker family was living in a trailer on the land. My wife Dawn and I send our condolences to the Baker family. Mr. Baker, like Mrs. Baker, will be sorely missed.

Grandpa was the best man I knew and I'm so very proud to call him my Grandpa! What a role model he was! Gonna miss you so much, rest in peace Grandpa. I am sorry to everyone who feels the sorrow of his passing, let us rejoice in knowing he is in a greater place. Say hi to Grandma, Aunt Jenny, and my Dad, Grap, love you always.
