I am absolutely heartbroken to know that Jan is gone. We were born two days apart and lived less than a block apart for the first 18 years of our lives. There weren't many days during that time that we didn't spend together. And I'm not quite sure how I am going to live without her in my life.
Jan handled her fierce battle with such strength and grace. I never heard a word of complaint from her, despite all that she went through. She is free from pain and at peace now, but what a loss for all of us.
My life is so much richer for having had Jan be a part of it. And I'm sure that everyone who knew her would say the same thing.
My thoughts and prayers are with Bob, her loving and devoted husband. May the many wonderful memories you have of your life with Jan help sustain you and bring you comfort during this difficult time.
