Obituary of Linda M. (Nassimos) Bikowsky

Oriskany Falls- It is with great sadness the family of Linda M. Bikowsky, age 79, of Augusta Solsville Road announce that she passed away Friday afternoon, June 30, 2023 in Cooperstown's Bassett Medical Center with her loving family at her side. She was born on May 4, 1944 in Utica, New York a daughter of the late Joseph Carmen and Winifred (Dailey) Nassimos. Linda was a graduate of Madison Central School and Syracuse's Central City Business Institute where she received her certification in secretarial sciences.

On February 4, 1977 Linda and Ronald G. "Ronnie" Bikowsky were united in marriage in Munnsville, New York and have shared this loving union of over forty-six years together. Linda was employed with Sherwood Medical Device Manufacturing as a secretary for over thirty-four years. More recently she served as the Village of Oriskany Falls secretary until stricken with her recent illness.

Linda's passion was her family, there wasn't a game or event that she missed. She was the most loyal fan of her son's and then her grandchildren's. Sixteen years ago, Linda received a gift of life by way of a kidney transplant. Her sister-in-law Marylyn generously donated a kidney which allowed Linda to continue her time with us.

Surviving is her husband, Ronald G. Bikowsky of Oriskany Falls, one son Richard and daughter-in-law, Megan Peckham of Madison, her grandchildren, Dylan (Ana) Peckham and Faith Peckham. Five siblings and their spouses, Carmen Joseph (Kay) Nassimos of Madison, George (Marylyn) Nassimos of Oriskany Falls, Barbara (Thomas) Peckham of Madison, Mary Anne (Annie) Wilmot of Madison and Whitney Nassimos of Madison, three sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law, Marla and Jim Jackson, Vicky and Ray Diana and Rikky and Lester Burt all of Oriskany Falls. Her aunt Mary J Nassimos of Utica and cousin Janet (Martin) Agosto of FL and Nancy Gazzal of Utica NY as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Linda was predeceased by her parents, mother and father-in-law Robert & Marilyn Bikowsky, brother-in-law Robert (Craig) Bikowsky, cousin John Gazzal and aunts Julia Nassimos and Helen (Tony) Gazzal.

Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, July 10, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.at the Malecki Funeral Home 23 Front Street, Vernon, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at 9:30 am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 229 N Main Street, Oriskany Falls, NY. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Rt 12 B, Oriskany Falls, NY. A  Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday at 4:00 p.m at the Oriskany Falls Legion.
