Obituary of Barbara M. Snell

Barbara M. Snell Munnsville-Barbara M. Snell, age 64, of Snell Road passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon December 5, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 17, 1951 in Cornwall, Ontario Canada a daughter of Arthur D. and Elaine B. (Fisher) Snetsinger. Barbara and her family moved to Munnsville in 1953. She was a graduate of Stockbridge Valley Central School. On June 5, 1971 Barbara was united in marriage with Fred "Ted" Snell in St. Theresa's Church of Munnsville and the couple has shared that blessed union of over forty-four years together. For many years Barbara was a home health aide for RCIL, a job she enjoyed. In her spare time she enjoyed taking her grandchildren thrifty shopping, finding great deals at garage sales, playing poker and spending time with her special friends. Surviving is her husband, Fred "Ted" Snell, her mother, Elaine Snetsinger , daughters, Jody (Jeff Henry) Snell, Barbary (Bryan) Reaves, Gwen (Ken) Smith, sons, Jamie (Brandi Gilbo) Snell and Joseph Snell all of Munnsville, twelve grandchildren, Amber, Teddy Jo, Kassie, Hannah Reaves, Alex Snell, Kendall and Sam Smith, Ethan Snell, Jacob and Hunter Henry, Jaiden and Madison Snell, three brothers, Lewis Snetsinger of Sherrill, James Snetsinger of Oneida, Allen (Colleen) Snetsinger of Tennessee, one sister Sandra (Steve) Hadlock of Munnsville, three special friends, Darcy Snetsinger of Sherrill and Rosie Rinaldo and Judy Potter both of Oneida. Barbara was predeceased by her father, Arthur D. Snetsinger, sister Heather Eastman and brother Douglas Snetsinger. In keeping with Barbara's wishes there will be no public calling hours or funeral services. A celebration of her life will take place at her home for the family at a later date. The Malecki Funeral Home of Sherrill was entrusted with Barbara's arrangements.
