Obituary of Stephen L. Champney

Stephen L. Champney Oneida-Stephen L. Champney, age 45, of Maplewood Ave. passed away unexpectedly Thursday December 17, 2015 in the Oneida Healthcare Center. He was born on April 10, 1970 in Rome, New York a son of Gary L. and Karen E. (Stone) Champney. Stephen was a graduate of Oneida High School and received a certificate from MVCC as a computer technician. In 1990 Stephen and Norma Jane Loosman were united in marriage in Oneida and have shared this union of over twenty-five years together. Stephen served with the National Guard from 1990 to 1992 and was formerly employed with Oneida Limited Silversmiths as a machine operator. Surviving is his wife Norma "Jane" Champney of Oneida, two children, Darin L. Champney and Sabrina Marie Champney, his parents, Gary and Karen Champney, two brothers and their spouses, Michael (Michele) Champney and Kevin (Jennifer) Champney, one sister, Tricia (Mark) Kowalski, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Joseph and Judy Loosman, one brother-in-law, Joseph (Michele) Loosman, and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday December 30, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 23 Front Street, Vernon, New York.
