Janette Esther Dalkiewicz Janette Esther Dalkiewicz, age 84, of Sherrill, NY, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning February 23, 2016. She was born on July 15, 1931 in Utica, NY to the late Anna (Slosek) and Walter S. Dalkiewicz. Janette was a graduate of Vernon Verona Sherrill Central School, the Knox School in Cooperstown, NY, and Bryant College in Smithfield, RI. She was employed by the Cornhill Bank in Utica, NY before relocating to Natick, MA where she worked in the banking industry and retired as a Branch Manager from New World Bank after 25 years. Janette volunteered her time at the Oneida Library and as a communicant of St. Joseph's Church. She loved to travel, was an avid reader, and adored her three cats, Seamus, Annie, and Buckwheat. Janette is survived by her sister, Eleanor (Dalkiewicz) Anton of Fayetteville, a brother Norbert (Keris) Dalkiewicz of Hobe Sound, FL, niece Mary Catherine Anton of Syracuse, nephew John J. (Terrie) Anton and beloved great-nephews Justin and Hunter of Manlius. She was predeceased by her sister Regina D. McLaughlin on May 28, 2015, and brother-in-law Walter McLaughlin in 2002. Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 10:00am at St. Joseph's Church, 121 St. Joseph Place, Oneida, NY. There will be no calling hours. Contributions may be made in Janette's memory to Wanderers' Rest Humane Association, 7138 Sutherland Drive, Canastota, NY, 13032.
