Sherrill-With her family at her side, Patricia A. Card, 82, passed away peacefully at her home on West Hinds Ave. in Sherrill, NY on March 16th.
Pat was born on April 24, 1933 in Utica, NY; the daughter of Stuart Davis and Catherine Davis. In 1951 she graduated from Utica Free Academy. She was an active member of A Capella choir, the Sigma Omicron Sorority and various other clubs.
On August 6, 1960 she married Edward S. Card at Our Lady of Lourdes church in Utica. They shared a loving union for over 50 years.
Throughout her life she enjoyed being a homemaker and stay-at-home mom for her three children. Pat was a big supporter of the Eagles Drum and Bugle Corp and a vocal fan of Syracuse basketball and football. She loved animals, especially cats and dogs of which she had many.
Pat was pre-deceased by her loving husband Ed and her parents. Surviving are her brother, Stuart (Connie) Davis, Jr. of Norfolk, VA; two sons, Bill Card of Shelton, WA and Bob Card (Helen Zyma) of Old Forge, NY; one daughter and son-in-law Mary (Scott Wills) of Penn Laird, VA and two grandchildren, Allie and Zachary Wills. She is also survived by brother and sister-in-law Stephen and Alice Heffron of Fayetteville, NY; sister-in-law, Florence Card of Fayetteville, NY and cousin John (Diane) Hartnett of Westmoreland, NY as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Hospice and Palliative Care and all of the wonderful caregivers who showed her great love and compassion. She developed a special bond with her friend Delores Newman. And a special thank you to the wonderful friends and neighbors.
