Obituary of Marilyn M. Green

Stockbridge-Marilyn M. Green, age 93, formerly of West Road and most recently a resident of the Oneida Healthcare Extended Care Facility passed away Sunday afternoon May 20, 2018 at the facility with her loving family near her side. She was born on September 9, 1924 in Oneida, New York a daughter of the late Lynn and Alice (Henty) Mosher and was a graduate of Sherrill High School where she received her Business School Certificate. On June 15, 1946 Marilyn and Raymond D. Green were united in marriage and in the Plymouth Congregational Church of Sherrill and shared that loving vow of over 68 years until Raymond's death on July 28, 2012. Marilyn was a longtime member of Christ Methodist Church of Sherrill, the Twentieth Century Club, a Bible Study Group and the Home Bureau Group of Stockbridge. Surviving are one son Marty and daughter-in-law Barbara Green of Shrewsbury, Mass; one daughter Marcia and son-in-law Rick Warham of Oneida, a daughter-in-law and her husband Karen and Mike Mathena of Sugarland TX, nine grandchildren and their spouses, Andy (Nicole) Green, Amy (Sean) Lanagan, Matthew (Laurel) Green, Paul Warham, Steven (Alissa) Warham, Michael Cross and fiancé Jeff Garner, Nicole (Sean) Sloan, Brooke (Jake) Caden and Brittany (Kelby) Edwards, four great-grandchildren, A.J. Green, Nicholas Green, Max Lanagan and Chance Lanagan, sister Barbara Nurnberger of Clinton, several nieces, nephews and many longtime friends from the church and childhood. Marilyn was predeceased by one son Michael Green, one daughter Mary Beth Cross, one granddaughter Eloise Mae Lanagan, one brother C. Gary Mosher and one sister-in-law Anne Mosher, one sister and brother-in-law Doris and Robert DeWolfe and one brother-in-law Robert Nurnberger. The family will greet friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Wednesday May 23, 2018 at Christ Methodist Church, 417 Park Street, Sherrill. Marilyn's funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. at the church immediately following the calling hour with Rev. Robert Kolvik-Campbell officiating. Friends are invited to a luncheon immediately following the funeral service in the church's Conde Hall. Burial for family only will be in Stockbridge Cemetery, Stockbridge, New York.
