Vernon-Nathan F. "Nate" Hartle Jr., age 58, of State Rt. 26 passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019 in Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York.
He was born on January 19, 1961 in Oneida, New York a son of the late Nathan "Frank" Sr. and Evana "Vannie" (Williamson) Hartle and attended V.V.S. School.
Nate was a cook at the former Boat Restaurant for over thirty years.
In his spare time he enjoyed watching NASCAR, golfing and mowing his lawn.
He was an excellent carpenter and a jack of all trades and was referred to by many as "Nate the Great".
Surviving are the love of his life for over forty years, Kim Lilly of Vernon, Tonya Hartle and Steph of Vernon, Dan and Kirstie Hartle of Floyd, Dave and Sharon Smith of Sherrill, Don Smith and Britt of Vernon, several grandchildren and one great-grandchild, two sisters, Nancy Waldron of Verona, Robin (Jim) Sigsbee of Vernon Center, Keith (Skeeter) Strong of Vernon, Brian Strong of Sylvan Beach, Wayne Strong of Utica, Shane Hartle of Vernon Jody Hartle of Vernon , and many nieces and nephews.
Nate was predeceased by his parents and brothers Leon, Sheldon and Mark.
Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 23 Front Street, Vernon, NY. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home immediately following calling hours. Burial will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in Maple Grove Cemetery, Rt. 5, Vernon, NY.
