David T. Lewis Vernon-David T. Lewis, age 62, of Ottman Road passed away late Friday evening January 23, 2014 in St. Luke's Healthcare Center. Dave was born on June 4, 1952 in Utica, New York a son of the late Thomas and Gloria (Gilles) Lewis and was a graduate of New York Mills Central School. On August 13, 1977 Dave and Claudia Morin were united in marriage in St. John's Lutheran Church and have shared a loving union of over thirty-seven years together. Prior to his retirement due to his disability in 2009 Dave was employed as a carpenter with Heritage and Noble Construction Companies. In his spare time Dave enjoyed snowmobiling with the Tri Valley Snowmobilers, bowling; loved all sports and was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. He was a member of the Vernon Masonic Lodge where he served as Past Master and Knights Templar. He was very handy and could build or fix anything. Surviving are his wife, Claudia, daughter Holliann (Ronald) Tallman of Canastota, three grand-daughters, Kyleigh, Veronica and Ember, one sister, Ellyn Urban, as well as many aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces. Dave was predeceased by his parents, one sister and two brothers. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service to be held Wednesday evening January 28, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc, 23 Front Street, Vernon.
