Obituary of Edmund J. Secor

Edmund J. Secor Edmund J. Secor, age 73, passed away peacefully, Saturday morning March 21, 2015. Born on March 4, 1942, Edmund was a VVS Central School graduate and served his country with the US Navy from 1962-1966. Upon completion of the Naval Services, Edmund became employed with Revere Cooper and Brass in Rome, NY. His career covered many positions within the company until his retirement after 42 years. He was predeceased by his parents Fred O. and Lucinda T. (Kyser) Secor, Verona, NY and his wife, of 15 years, Melda Rose (Pennington) Secor , Sylvan Beach, NY. Surviving are his two daughters, Jodi (Frank) Starczek Jr. of Cicero, NY and Darci (Sue) Secor of Hamburg, NY., sister and brother-in-law Beverly (Warren) Noble Sr. of Verona, NY. Many special nieces and nephews, grandchildren and his special canine companion "Dusty". The family would like to extend a special thank you to special friends Ron Cieslak and Tom Macarthy for all the acts of kindness they showed to their father. In his spare time, Edmund loved to hunt and fish. He also loved spending time with this family at his camp playing a good game of cards. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 23 Front Street, Vernon, NY. Edmund's funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Funk officiating. Burial with military honors will be in the spring.
