Obituary of Milton A. James

Oneida Castle-Milton A. James, age 74, of Oneida Castle passed away peacefully September 9, 2021 at Oneida Health with his loving family by his side. He was born on May 28, 1947 in Oneida, New York, a son of the late Jules M. and Doris (Kelly) James and was a 1965 graduate of the Oneida School System. Milton was united in marriage to the late Yvonne Murphy on October 23, 1965 and from that marriage the couple had two beautiful children. He worked for the Oneida Limited Silversmiths before their closing and then worked various jobs for the Turning Stone Casino Resort prior to his retirement, but continued to run his business, MAJ Enterprises. On September 19, 1998 Milt and Charlotte D. Pushlar (Brown) were united in marriage in Canastota, New York. The couple has shared nearly twenty-three years together. “Miltie” was always a handyman and could fix and repair almost anything. His true passion in life was to entertain others with his beautiful Elvis Presley sounding singing voice. He and his wife Charlotte were once known as South Bound Entertainment, pleasing the crowds of many. Their most recent enjoyments came from singing karaoke with their friends and neighbors at their home garage known as “7th Street Diner” where they would share their love for music. The couple enjoyed going to car shows where they would also display their classic cars. Most of all, they shared a deep love of their Lord Jesus Christ and were members of Friendship Baptist Church. Surviving are his loving wife, Charlotte, his two children, Kimberly and Scott (Mary), his “bonus children” as Milt referred to them as, Brandy, Ryan, Reneé and Travis, two sisters, Pat James and Terri Edwards, twelve grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
