Evana G. "Vannie" (Williamson) Hartle Vernon-Evana G. "Vannie" (Williamson) Hartle, age 85, of State Rt. 5 Vernon passed away Friday May 8, ,2015 at home surrounded by her loving family by her side. She was born on May 4, 1930 in Lorraine, New York a daughter of the late Benjamin and Mary (Roberts) Williamson. "Vannie" married Nathan "Frank" Hartle Sr. on September 13, 1959 in Vernon, New York. "Vannie" was avid reader, liked water painting, feeding the chipmunks and birds. She is survived by her husband Nathan "Frank" Hartle Sr. of Vernon, sons, Leon (Joann) Metz of Oriskany Falls, Keith (Skeeter) Strong Jr. of Vernon, Brian Strong and companion Susan of Oriskany Falls, Wayne Strong of Vernon, Nathan Hartle Jr. and Kim of Vernon, Jody Hartle and Shane Hartle both of Vernon, daughters Nancy Waldron of Verona and Robin (Jim) Sigsbee of Vernon Center, daughter-in-law, Dawn Strong of Knoxboro, as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. "Vannie" was predeceased by two sons, Sheldon and Mark and one grandson Tyler. "As per Mom's request" there will be no calling hours. There will be a graveside service at the cemetery at a later time and date to be announced. The family would like to thank Dr. Goyal and Eileen for their compassionate care they gave to Mom during her surgeries and visits. It will never be forgotten. The family would also like to thank the nurses on the second floor of Rome Memorial Hospital. All that attended Mom were extremely caring and kind.
