Jacqueline M. "Jackie" Brown Westmoreland-Jacqueline M. "Jackie' Brown, age 85, formerly of Westmoreland and for the past five years a resident of Palmer Street, Norwich, CT passed away Monday April 20, 2015 in William Backus Hospital. She was born on April 22, 1929 in Rome, New York a daughter of the late Kenneth and Helen (Herbst) Camadine and was a graduate of Rome Free Academy. On October 15, 1949 Jackie was united in marriage with James H. Brown in Rome New York and the couple shared this union until Mr. Brown's death on March 29, 1991. She was the mother of six children and their spouses: Donna Ehle (Russell Ehle deceased) of Newark, N.Y., Paul Brown (Barbara Goldsen) of St. Albans, VT, Ann Ossont of Norwich CT, Dennis Ossont, Stephen Brown (Costanza Brown) of Punta Gorda FL, Suzanne Brown of Boston, MA and Patricia Brown of Knoxville, TN. She was the grandmother of Heather (Brent Russell) Russell, Russell Ehle IV (Laura Kelley), Benjamin (Danielle Ossont), Aaron ( Renee Augmon) and Jeffrey Ossont, Yuchana St. Germain-Brown, Angela Edwards-Brown, and Marcella Brown. She was the great-grandmother, of Donovan, Carter, and Jacqueson(deceased) Russell, Kendyll and Quinn Ehle, Julia Ryan, Carolyn Augmon and Esias Brown-Rosario. Her sisters; Lucille Internicola (Nicholas Internicola deceased), Phyllis Delaney of Rome (Joseph Delaney), New York and Sally Knudsen(Claude Knudsen) of West Virginia and several nieces and nephews survive her. Jackie was known for her generosity, kindness, her willingness to do for others and her sharp wit. She worked hard throughout her life for the benefit of her family, friends and her community. She was a deeply curious woman who loved to learn and read and inspired others to do the same. She will be greatly missed by all. A memorial mass will be held on May 22nd at 11:00 a.m. at Church of Annunciation, Clark Mills. Burial will be in Westmoreland Cemetery, Westmoreland, New York. A celebration of her life will be immediately held afterwards at the Westmoreland Fire Hall and the family welcomes all who wish to remember her.
