Obituary of Yvonne R. Croft

Verona-Yvonne "Bonnie" Croft, age 83, a longtime Rock Road resident passed away early Thursday morning July 14, 2022 at her new home in Grand Island where she more recently resided to be closer to her grandchildren.

She was born on September 7, 1938 in Endicott, New York a daughter of the late Clyde B. and Edna (Hirsch) Walter and was a graduate of the Whitney Point Schools.

On February 20, 1960 Bonnie and Thomas R. Croft were united in marriage in Fenton, NY and have shared that loving vow of over sixty-two years together.

Prior to her retirement in 2009 Bonnie has several different careers; as a doctor's office secretary, a teacher's aide at V.V.S Central School and helped her husband at Croft's Treeland in Vernon.

Bonnie was active member for many years at Christ Methodist Church of Sherrill and was active with the Tuesday group known at the church as the "Helping Hands". She enjoyed crafts and spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband Tom Croft of Grand Island, one son Donald Croft of Westmoreland, one daughter Maryanne DeNova of Grand Island, eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, one brother Clair (Gail) Walter of Gold Canyon, AZ and several nieces and nephews.

Bonnie was predeceased by her parents and a daughter Sandra Miller.

Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, July 18, 2022 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 464 Sherrill Rd., Sherrill, NY. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Christ United Methodist Church, 417 Park Street, Sherrill, NY. Burial will be at a later date in Glenwood Cemetery, Oneida, NY.
