Obituary of Marilyn J. Wile

Please share a memory of Marilyn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Marilyn Wile, 86, of Sherrill, NY passed away peacefully in her home on March 20, 2023.  She was born in Stoneham MA in 1937, the daughter of the late Randolph and Miriam Owen.  She is survived by her sister Ruth LaFranchi and her five children Beverly, David, Robert, William, Deborah and daughter in love Sandy.  Marilyn was a wife of forty-nine wonderful years. She was a dedicated caretaker of her mother, Miriam Owen, until she passed away at the age of 106.  She was the organist at North Madison Baptist Church and a Bible study leader.  Her hobbies were quilting with Thread Bears and Canal Town Quilters. She enjoyed camping at Bass Lake Campground and at the Word of Life Campground each year.  She worked at Madison – Oneida BOCES for over 20 years.

Her legacy is built around her love for Christ, serving others, and her 44 grand and great grandchildren.  She brought so much joy and love for Jesus to countless people.  Our Heavenly Father promises to sustain us through challenging times in Isaiah 58:11, “And the LORD will guide you continually and satisfy your soul in drought and strengthen your bones; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail”.  She lived a full life and is happily reunited with her Savior.

A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at Plymouth Alliance Church, Sherrill.
