Obituary of Richard E. Janowski

Vernon Center-Richard E. Janowski, age 75, formerly of Vernon Center and more recently of the Grand Nursing Facility of Rome passed away Monday morning, July 10, 2023 at the facility. He was born on January 2, 1948 in Utica, New York a son of the late Edward and Genevieve (Zeidel) Janowski and was a graduate of the Vernon Verona Sherrill Schools. Prior to his retirement due to a disability Richard was employed with the CXS Railroad and was a local bartender for several years at area Legions. He enjoyed his membership with the Stanwix Veteran's and Men's Club and Kirkland Legion. Surviving is his three daughters Pamela (Jerry) Dingman of Blossvale, Sherry (Steve) McBurney of Rome, and Terry Wamprecht of Ohio, one sister Karen Janowski Abney and one brother Alan and sister-in-law, Betty Janowski and several nieces and nephews.
