MacAnn, Virginia V. "Ginny" Sherrill, NY: Mrs. Virginia V. MacAnn, age 86 of Sherrill passed away on Monday, June 22, 2015 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare Center with her husband and family at her side. Born in Canastota on August 20, 1928, Virginia was the daughter of the late Marion and Hertha VanDusen. Virginia was a graduate of Canastota High School and attended Business and Secretarial classes in Syracuse. On September 3, 1950, Virginia and Duane MacAnn were united in marriage in Canastota, New York and the couple has shared a loving union of sixty-five years together. Virginia began her working career at Oneida Limited in the shipping office and resumed her working career as a sales associate in the Oneida Limited Outlet Store after raising their three children. Virginia is survived by her husband Duane R. MacAnn of Sherrill; one daughter Susan Griffing of New Hartford, two sons and two daughters-in-law, Donald (Joanne) MacAnn of Utica, James (Karen) MacAnn of Rochester, two grandson and their wives, Joshua (Amanda) MacAnn of Fairport and Gregory (Julie) MacAnn of Victor, one brother Donald (Ann) VanDusen of Canastota, one brother-in-law Jack (Marsha) Cowan of Sherrill. Virginia was predeceased by one brother Marion VanDusen. Virginia was blessed with many wonderful friends who will morn her loss. The family offers its sincere appreciation to the many doctors, nurses and staff of Oneida Health and Faxton-St. Luke's Medical Centers. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Christ Church United Methodist, Park Street, Sherrill with Rev. Robert Kolvick-Campbell officiating. In lieu of flowers, you can make a donation to the Christ Church United Methodist, Park Street, Sherrill, New York, 13461 in Virginia's memory.
