Obituary of Sandra D. George

Sandra D. George Verona-Sandra D. George age 77, of E. Main Street passed away early Monday morning July 6, 2015, in the Oneida Healthcare Center with her loving family at her side. She was born on February 19, 1938, in Utica, New York, a daughter of the late Alton and Ruth (Johnston) Dewan. Sandra was a graduate of Vernon Verona Sherrill Central School, Penn Hall, and Powers Finishing School. Sandra was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church of Verona and the Columbian Club. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Surviving are two daughters and two sons-in-law, Deborah (Robert) Hesler of Miramar, FL., Jill (William) Bean, of Scotia, one son and one daughter-in-law, John (Christine) George of Scotia, six grandchildren, Andrew (Siwon), Michael, Kathryn and Amanda Hesler, William Jr. and Natalie Bean and Kylie and J.D. George and one great-grandchild, Zoe Hesler and several other relatives. In keeping with Sandra's wishes, calling hours and funeral services will be private and at the families' convenience.
