Obituary of Thomas J. Conniff

Sherrill, NY-Thomas “Tom” J. Conniff, age 82, of Wayland Street passed unexpectedly Thursday afternoon March 21, 2024 at his home.
  He was born on November 2, 1941 in Oneida, New York a son of the late John J. and Esther M. (McKay) Conniff. Tom graduated from Vernon Verona Sherrill Central Schools and furthered his education at Onondaga Community College with courses in management and marketing and continued his education at Cornell University with courses in business administration and marketing principles.
 Tom used his education with several years of business experience in the field of product distribution of wholesale and retail levels managing a supermarket operation. He then went on to operate his territory for a national bakery company. He spent twelve years as a major wine and spirit wholesaler. Then spent fourteen years as a security officer for the Turning Stone Casino and Resort.
 He was an avid sports fan, with his favorites being, the NY Yankees, Pittsburgh Steelers and The Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Surviving are his two daughters, Kelly Conniff of Verona and Kimberly Keenan (Frank Centro) of Whitesboro, one son Ryan T. (Orla) Conniff of South Dartmouth, Mass, five grandchildren, Sydney Keenan, Matthew Keenan, Olivia Conniff, Chloe Conniff and Amelia Conniff, one brother Robert J. Conniff of Sherill and one sister Mary Ann Johnson of Oneida and several nieces and nephews.
  Tom was predeceased by his parents and brother Jack Conniff.
  In keeping with Tom’s wishes there will be a private funeral service at the Malecki Funeral Home, 464 Sherrill Rd., Sherrill, NY. Burial will follow in St. Helena’s Cemetery, Middle Road, Oneida, NY. Online condolences may be sent to maleckifuneralhome.com
