Obituary of Charles E. Kopp

Oneida-Charles E. Kopp, age 84, of Schlotz Road passed away peacefully Monday June 10, 2024 in the Oneida Health Extended Care Facility.

He was born on January 1, 1940 in Little Falls, New York and was a graduate of the Oneida Schools.

From 1963-1965 Charles served with the U.S. Army 1st Armored Division and served four years with the Army National Guard after his honorable discharge.

On August 10, 1963 he was united in marriage with JoAnn Loomis in Sherrill, NY and the couple has shared a loving and caring marriage of over sixty years together.

After retirement Charles pursued a hobby of coin collecting and was a penny coin collector.

Surviving is his loving wife, JoAnn L. Loomis of Oneida, one nephew, Thomas J. Sherman Jr. and one great-niece Samantha Sherman.

In keeping with his wishes there will be no services. Private burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, Oneida, NY. Arrangements are with the Malecki Funeral Home of Sherrill. Online condolences may be sent to maleckifuneralhome.com
