Obituary of Norman H. Eaton

Oneida-Norman H. Eaton, age 87 of Cramer Ave. passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021 in his home surrounded by his loving and caring family. Born June 30, 1934 in Oneida, New York, he was the son of the late Howard A. and Jessie (Beebe) Eaton and was a graduate of the Oneida Schools. Norm proudly enlisted into the United States Air Force on Nov.16, 1951 and was honorably discharged on Oct.1, 1954. In 1965 he was united in marriage with his wife Arvilla (Billie) Tooke Richmond and shared a loving union of fifty-six years together. Prior to his retirement, Norm was an inspector with the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles. He was an outstanding auto mechanic and could repair most anything. He enjoyed passing these skills down to his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Norm was a history buff and could answer almost any question on any given subject. He enjoyed vintage cars and traveling with his wife and family in his RV. Surviving, besides his wife Billie are his children Norman Eaton, Kip (Patricia) Richmond, Kimmen (Cheryl) Richmond, Kevin (Gloria) Richmond, Kelley (Andy) Cossette, Keith (Susan) Richmond, Kerry (Kris) Richmond, Kyle (Lisa) Eaton, Kory Eaton and Kristine Marchand. Norm is also survived by his sister Carol (John) Musgrove and many, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Norm was predeceased by his brother Charles Eaton and sister Linda Eaton and daughter-in-law Maricel Eaton. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 11am to 1pm at the Malecki Funeral Home, Inc., 23 Front St., Vernon, NY. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1pm at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow in Oneida Castle Cemetery, Oneida Castle, NY.
